BILL
OF MATERIALS AND LABOR
A
detailed bill of materials list for an item can be retrieved
at any time by
simply right clicking on the desired
elevation and choosing the "bill of materials" option from the pop up menu.
D-CALC® FACADE
has a "rules based" configuration engine with the ability to
query the properties of the parametric model being created.
This allows even the most complex products to be configured
while at the same time, ensuring a very accurate bill of
materials, labor costs and times.
The Bill of Materials
includes a list of extrusions with cutting sizes, cutting angles & finish,
hardware, gaskets, and a glass with all cutting sizes. The cost information per
item and per job is also available as well as labor costs.
D-CALC®
FACADETM
provides a wide range of reports on material requirements and optimized cutting
reports. All production reports and customer documents are user definable. Data
can be accessed through third-party reporting tools, spreadsheets, and
databases. Cut lists include: cutting angles, complex multi-plane cutting
angles, radii for bending, detailed die drawings, detailed machining operations,
location of fabrication operations along all axes of the extrusion, fabrication
time, assembly time, labor cost, finishing cost, and shipping cost.
An automatic data exchange between D-CALC®
FACADETM
and stand-alone programs will enable constant and effective data maintenance and
exchange of the bill of materials.
Labor can be setup to accommodate any
aspect of the manufacturing process. Labor can be defined by "Work Centers" with
"Operations" per work center. Properties of the frame can be used with formulas
to accommodate costing and times ensuring complete labor costing as well as
labor times for scheduling.
All properties of the labor formulas are
tied directly back to the parametric model of the product. Therefore, if any of
the properties of the window changes that could affect labor, i.e. size, the
labor is automatically recalculated.
Labor information and times can be
transferred to scheduling programs, project management programs, spreadsheets,
other database applications or any other application that can accept a ASCII
flat file or via the programs ODBC driver.
