ORDER ENTRY AND ESTIMATING

Order entry and estimating is a core function of the D-CALC® FACADE program. What makes the program so unique is the programs ability to maintain a direct correlation between the order or estimate and the engineering documents. For example, if you have an order for a window with brick molding and the customer calls and requests an alternate brick molding, then the customer service representative only needs to right click on the item within the order entry screen, choose to change the items "options", choose the brick molding option, select from the alternates listed and choose the OK button to apply the change. All data, pricing and, engineering drawings, if prepared, will be immediately updated. Therefore, if the shop or engineering department were to open the order up for review, and review the shop drawings (if prepared) they will see the elevations would have been updated, along with any cross sectional cuts or details. No other program can achieve this level of data integrity between the order entry / estimating departments and the engineering and shop drawing departments.

The D-CALC® FACADE program contains all of the necessary functionality to price a job down to the cost of the smallest item. Default added "options" can be setup in a list and either automatically applied to a job, such as shipping or packing, or selected from the list and applied to only the job in question. This method provides an additional level of security to ensure that nothing is accidentally left off during the estimating or ordering phase.

The user can also setup complicated items such as splice sleeves, wind load and or dead load anchors, perimeter anchors or other items and as the elevation is entered, the program can automatically calculate the cost and labor for these items. When setting up auxiliary items within a quote or order, variables can be used from the job itself with formulas attached  to calculate some of the mundane estimating tasks. For example, you can have an option for perimeter caulking which can calculate the perimeter footage of all of the frames, apply a formula based on the caulk width to determine the number of tubes of caulk is required as well as labor to apply the caulk.

D-CALC® FACADE works with either "models" of standard products or "one-off" designs. Once an item is designed, the user can simply right click on the elevation and save it in there system to be used again at any time. When a saved item is recalled, any property or option can be changed to accommodate the new project requirements.

During the estimating or order entry process, elevations from previous jobs can be easily recalled into the current quote or order. In addition, previous jobs can be easily copied and modified for quick alternate pricing.

TheD-CALC® FACADE program supports up to five different tax rates per job. Material pricing schemas can be setup for pricing material on a list price with a discount structure or, if desired, on a material cost plus markup and overhead structure. Material can be priced based on its weight and finishing costs, including calculating painted or anodized finished areas.

The result of using the D-CALC® FACADE software is consistency, accuracy and peace of mind in ensuring that your estimates, no matter who in the office is creating it, contains all of the necessary parts and pieces and that labor is calculated properly.
